This Privacy Policy explains how KeeHome ("KeeHome", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal information when you access or use the KeeHome website, mobile application, platform, products, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
KeeHome is a technology platform that facilitates communication and interaction between property owners, sellers, landlords, buyers, tenants, brokers, agents, builders, and other property-related users.
KeeHome operates primarily as a communication and facilitation intermediary. KeeHome does not act as a party to property transactions, does not take custody of transaction funds, does not act as an escrow agent, and does not execute sale, lease, or other property agreements on behalf of users.
By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Scope of This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the KeeHome website; the KeeHome mobile application; user registration and account creation; property listings and property-related posts; property requests and enquiries; communication and interaction between users; subscription purchases; identity verification processes; customer support and communications with KeeHome; and other services or features made available by KeeHome.
This Privacy Policy does not govern websites, applications, services, or platforms operated by third parties that may be accessible through links or integrations on KeeHome.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect the following categories of information.
Registration and Account Information: when you register for an account, we may collect: full name; mobile phone number; date of birth; email address, where provided; account login information; user type or role; profile information; and other information reasonably necessary to create and maintain your account. KeeHome may provide a unified dashboard through which different categories of users can access relevant Platform features.
Broker, Agent and Builder Information: If you register or use the Platform as a broker, real estate agent, builder, or similar professional user, we may collect: RERA registration number; agency name; company name; professional/business information; information relating to property listings; information relating to your authority to advertise or represent a property; and other information required to operate professional features of the Platform. Where applicable, users are responsible for providing accurate and current registration and professional information.
Identity Verification Information KeeHome requires identity verification before a user submits certain property listings, requests, or posts. We may use Aadhaar-based identity verification or an authorized third-party identity verification service for this purpose. Depending on the verification method and service provider used, information processed may include information necessary to verify your identity and verification status. KeeHome will process only the information reasonably necessary for identity verification and Platform security. KeeHome does not conduct credit screening or police/background verification unless expressly stated otherwise.
Where identity verification is performed by a third-party service provider, the processing of information by that provider may also be governed by its applicable privacy policy and terms.
Property and Listing Information: when you create a property listing, request, advertisement, or post, we may collect and display information such as: property address or location; property type; photographs and videos; property description; area or measurements; asking price or rent; lease-related information; amenities; ownership or representation information provided by you; broker or agency information; property-related documents or information voluntarily submitted by you; and other information contained in your listing or post.
Users are responsible for ensuring that information they submit is accurate and that they have the necessary rights, permissions, or authority to publish such information.
Communications and Enquiries: When users communicate through or using the Platform, we may process information relating to: enquiries; messages; requests; communications with other users; communications with KeeHome; customer support requests; and other interactions occurring through the Platform. We may retain relevant communications were reasonably necessary for security, customer support, compliance, dispute management, or operation of the Platform.
Subscription and Payment Information: KeeHome operates on a subscription-based model. Property owners, brokers/agents, builders, and other applicable users may purchase subscription plans to access Platform features. KeeHome may process information necessary to: create and manage subscriptions; confirm subscription status; issue invoices or receipts; process payments through authorised payment service providers; provide customer support; and maintain transaction and accounting records. KeeHome does not receive, hold, escrow, or control token money, earnest money, sale consideration, rent, security deposits, or other property transaction payments between users. Property transaction payments are made directly between the relevant parties and outside KeeHome.
Where payment processing for KeeHome subscriptions is performed by a third-party payment provider, that provider may process payment information in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.
Technical and Usage Information: When you access the Platform, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including: IP address; browser type; device type; operating system; application version; approximate location derived from technical information, where applicable; access times; pages or features accessed;
How We Use Personal Information: KeeHome may process personal information for purposes including: creating and managing user accounts; providing Platform services; enabling users to create and manage property listings; enabling buyers and tenants to discover and communicate with property owners, landlords, brokers, agents, and builders; facilitating communication between users; conducting identity verification;
KeeHome does not use personal information for purposes unrelated to the Platform except were permitted or required by applicable law or where you have otherwise provided appropriate consent.
Property Listings and Public Information: Certain information submitted by users may be made visible to other users or publicly accessible depending on the nature of the listing, post, or Platform feature. For instance, property listings may contain information such as: property location; photographs; property characteristics; price or rental information; property descriptions; broker/agency information; and contact or enquiry information made available through the Platform.
Users should not publish sensitive personal information in property listings or posts unless it is necessary and legally permitted.
Once information is voluntarily published on a publicly accessible portion of the Platform, it may potentially be viewed, copied, or shared by other users.
Communication Between Users: KeeHome may enable users to communicate with one another regarding properties, listings, requests, enquiries, and potential transactions. KeeHome does not become a party to the transaction merely because communication occurs through the Platform. Any negotiation, price discussion, offer, agreement, contract, lease, sale, payment, property handover, title transfer, registration, or other transaction is conducted directly between the relevant parties. Users are responsible for exercising appropriate caution before sharing personal, financial, legal, or other sensitive information with another user.
Verification Does Not Constitute a Guarantee: KeeHome may perform identity verification and may display or process verification-related information. However, identity verification does not mean that KeeHome guarantees: the ownership of a property; title to a property; the accuracy of property measurements; zoning or regulatory compliance; the absence of defects; the financial capacity of a user; the creditworthiness of a user; the authority of a user to sell, lease, advertise, or represent a property; the authenticity of every document submitted by a user; or the legality or enforceability of a transaction between users. KeeHome does not ordinarily conduct credit screening or police/background verification. Users should conduct their own legal, financial, title, property, structural, and other appropriate due diligence before entering into any transaction.
Information About Other Individuals: If you provide KeeHome with personal information relating to another person, including a co-owner, tenant, landlord, seller, broker, representative, employee, or other individual, you represent that you have the lawful authority or permission to provide that information and that its use by KeeHome is permitted under applicable law. You should not provide another person's personal information to KeeHome unless you are authorized to do so.
Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information: KeeHome may disclose personal information in the following circumstances. Where necessary to provide Platform functionality, certain information may be shared with other users. KeeHome may use third-party service providers for services such as: hosting and cloud infrastructure; identity verification; authentication; SMS and OTP delivery; email communication; payment processing; analytics; customer support; cybersecurity. Such providers may process personal information on KeeHome's behalf, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.
Legal and Regulatory Requirements: KeeHome may disclose information where reasonably necessary to: comply with applicable law; comply with a court order, warrant, governmental request, or lawful process; respond to regulatory requirements; investigate suspected fraud or unlawful activity; protect users or the public; enforce our Terms & Conditions; or protect KeeHome's rights, property, or legal interests.
Business Transfers: If KeeHome undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
We Do Not Act as an Escrow or Transaction Intermediary: KeeHome does not: receive or hold token money; receive or hold earnest money; hold security deposits; escrow sale consideration; receive rent on behalf of landlords; receive property purchase consideration on behalf of sellers; execute sale deeds or lease agreements; negotiate transaction terms on behalf of users; or act as a payment intermediary for property transactions. Any such transaction is conducted directly between the relevant parties.
Cookies and Similar Technologies: KeeHome may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, logs, and similar technologies to: maintain user sessions; remember preferences; understand Platform usage; improve functionality; analyse performance; maintain security; and provide relevant communications or features. You may be able to control certain cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling certain technologies may affect Platform functionality.
Data Security: KeeHome takes reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction. Security measures may include, where appropriate: access controls; authentication mechanisms; encryption or secure transmission; monitoring and logging; role-based access; security testing; backup and recovery measures; and other reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed. However, no online platform or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for keeping their account credentials confidential and for notifying KeeHome promptly if they believe their account has been compromised.
Data Retention: KeeHome retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including: providing Platform services; maintaining user accounts; maintaining property listings and records; processing subscriptions; complying with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting obligations; resolving disputes; preventing fraud and misuse; enforcing agreements and policies; and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims. When personal information is no longer required for a lawful purpose, KeeHome may delete, anonymise, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law and its internal retention practices. No Property Transaction Guarantee: KeeHome is a communication and facilitation platform and does not guarantee or certify any property transaction. KeeHome does not guarantee: title or ownership; property condition; property measurements; legal or regulatory compliance; zoning status; authority of a seller, landlord, broker, or agent; authenticity of user-provided information; financial capacity or creditworthiness of users; completion of a transaction; or performance by any buyer, seller, landlord, tenant, broker, agent, builder, or other user. Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence and obtaining independent legal, financial, technical, and professional advice where appropriate.
